Wave Company Secures Data from 120 Runners at Insider Run to Advance AI Running Form Analysis

Wave Company, a rising leader in the sports technology sector, has announced a significant leap in its AI-driven motion recognition capabilities. By securing a comprehensive dataset of real-world running mechanics, the startup is set to refine its predictive algorithms for better performance and safety.

During the '2026 Insider Run' held at KINTEX (Goyang, Gyeonggi Province) from January 31 to February 1, the company successfully executed a field validation of its next-generation wearable, 'TracMe.' The study involved 120 active runners, capturing a wide array of joint angles and biomechanical movement patterns.

The initiative focused on move beyond controlled laboratory environments to capture the diverse variables of actual running. This newly acquired data serves as a critical foundation for training the next iteration of the company’s motion-sensing engine, ensuring higher algorithmic precision.

At the core of this innovation is 'TracSil,' Wave Company’s proprietary conductive silicone material. The firm is currently evolving its platform from simple data tracking to a sophisticated 'AI Running Coach' solution. This system is designed to provide personalized posture analysis and corrective feedback, aimed at optimizing running efficiency and minimizing injury risks through individualized pattern recognition.

In addition to the technical validation, the event served as a robust market test for the company’s flagship brand, 'WaveWear.' Following hands-on demonstrations, the majority of the available inventory was sold out, signaling strong consumer interest and market readiness for Wave Company's integrated tech-apparel.

"Securing authentic user data is the most vital step in developing a truly accurate running form analysis tool," stated CEO Nayeon Cho. "We are committed to leveraging this data to continuously iterate our TracMe technology, ultimately empowering individuals to run safely and professionally without the constant need for an in-person trainer.
