How it works
What sets it apart
Kinesiology support, built into the fabric
Our patented AlignX™ technology places adhesive silicone on the inside of the garment. It grips the skin like kinesiology tape, so the support holds while you move.
Learn more about AlignX™Laid along your muscle linesWorks like kinesiology tape
The silicone follows the direction of your muscles. Its grip is tuned to hold firm while you train, yet release easily when you take it off.
No cutting, no stickingSupport you just put on
No tape to cut and no expert needed to apply it. Put it on, and the support is already in place.
Grip comes back after washingReusable, wear after wear
A simple wash restores the grip of AlignX™ silicone, so you can wear it again and again instead of throwing tape away.
Moves as you moveStretches with the fabric
AlignX™ silicone stretches along with the fabric, so it won't lift or peel off, even during intense movement.

Power starts with stability
Struggling with posture, back discomfort during workouts, or shoulder fatigue? Taping built into the shoulders and back supports your spine and torso, so you can lift with confidence.

Targeted posture support for training
Shoulder taping steadies the upper back and helps keep rounded shoulders in check during intense sets. Lower-back support works through squats, deadlifts and overhead lifts, so your posture holds from the first rep to the last.

Breathable where you heat up
Mesh panels under the arms let heat and sweat escape from the hottest part of your upper body. The AlignX™ silicone is laid in a wave pattern rather than a solid sheet, so the fabric between the waves keeps breathing.
Details that count

Anti-ride waist band
A non-slip band runs inside the hem, around the waist. *This photo shows the top worn inside-out so you can see the band.

Underarm ventilation
Mesh panels sit in the underarm area on both sides, where heat builds up fastest during training.

Athletic fit compression
Contoured seams on the front and back and raglan sleeves shape the fit around the shoulders and chest.

Frequently asked questions
About the T20 Back & Shoulder Top
Can a shoulder compression shirt be worn for overhead lifting?
Yes — a flexible shoulder compression shirt can be worn during overhead presses, push presses, jerks, and other upper-body lifts.
Shoulder coverage: The WaveWear T20 Compression Top places compression and AlignX™ taping across the shoulders and upper back.
Full-workout wear: Its flexible construction allows it to stay on as you move between presses, rows, squats, and accessory exercises.
Under-garment option: The low-profile fit can be worn by itself or under a regular training shirt without adding a separate shoulder strap or brace. WaveWear is sportswear, not a medical device. Stop the exercise and seek professional advice if overhead lifting causes sharp pain, weakness, or a sudden loss of movement.
Can I wear WaveWear for Olympic lifts such as cleans, snatches, and jerks?
Yes — WaveWear’s flexible knee sleeves, wrist wraps, and compression tops can be worn during cleans, snatches, and jerks.
Knee support: The K2 Knee Sleeve bends with the knee through the pull, catch, and standing phases of Olympic lifts.
Wrist support: The H1 Wrist Wrap provides adjustable support for front-rack and overhead bar positions.
Upper-body coverage: The T20 Back and Shoulder Compression Top provides flexible compression across the shoulders and back without the structure of a rigid brace. Test new support gear with an empty bar and lighter sets first to make sure the fit remains comfortable through the complete lifting range.
How do the taping lines on the T20 work around the shoulder and back?
The T20 places AlignX™ silicone taping lines across the shoulders and back, positioned to support posture and alignment while the compression fabric holds them against the skin. A non-slip band inside the waist hem keeps the top from riding up when you bend, lift or reach overhead, so the taping stays in place through the movement.
How should the T20 fit?
The T20 is designed to fit snugly against the skin — a size that's too loose lets the silicone lift away from the body, leaving ordinary compression without the taping effect. Check the size chart against your own measurements and choose the size that sits close rather than sizing up for comfort.
When should I wear the T20?
The T20 is designed for weight training, gym sessions, running and CrossFit-style workouts. As with other WaveWear pieces, start with a shorter first wear — around an hour or less — and extend gradually as your skin adjusts, since the silicone is designed to grip the skin securely.
How do I wash and care for the T20?
Hand-wash in cold water with a neutral detergent, gently rubbing the silicone to clear dust, and keep the silicone side facing in. The T20 can also be machine washed on a gentle cycle if the silicone is turned to the inside first. Avoid bleach, ironing and machine drying — air-dry it in the shade.
Good to Know
What is kinesiology compression wear, and how does WaveWear work?
Kinesiology compression wear combines compression fabric with targeted taping support in one reusable garment.
The compression gives a secure, supportive fit and helps limit excessive muscle movement during activity.
The taping comes from AlignX™ — silicone taping lines built into the inside of the garment, placed along the same muscle pathways a physiotherapist would tape by hand. They make gentle contact with your skin around specific muscles and joints.
Unlike traditional kinesiology tape, there is nothing to measure, cut or apply. The support is already in the right place every time you put it on, and it goes back on tomorrow after a wash.

How is WaveWear different from kinesiology tape?
Traditional kinesiology tape has to be measured, cut and applied by hand before every session — and it peels off in the shower.
WaveWear builds AlignX™ silicone taping directly into the garment, so the pattern is already applied, already at the right tension, and reaches places you cannot easily tape yourself.
Reusable, not disposable. There is no adhesive to replace. Washing restores the silicone's grip, and the limit is the life of the garment rather than a roll count.
Compression as well as taping. Regular compression applies even pressure across a whole area. WaveWear adds directional taping lines that follow specific muscle groups, so support is targeted where your body needs it.

How do I wear WaveWear for the first time?
Start light — just 1 hour for your first wear. AlignX™ silicone is engineered to grip your skin securely. Like a new pair of shoes, it may feel firm at first, then settle into a fit that is comfortable for you.
Wear time guide. First, apply Warm-Up Sports Cream or petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline®) to your skin — everywhere the silicone touches. Moisturising reduces friction and helps prevent chafing. For your first wear, we recommend 1 hour or less. From there, gradually extend your wear time as your skin adjusts. We recommend a maximum of 5 hours, though some wear it comfortably for longer.
Outdoor and extended wear. During activities where removing the product mid-session is not practical — running, hiking, training — reapply cream or petroleum jelly over the silicone areas to stay chafe-free. If you get a short break, shifting the silicone slightly or peeling back the taping and re-applying it makes a noticeable difference.
Cautions. Stop using it immediately if itching, stinging or similar discomfort persists. Do not apply to broken or inflamed skin. Remove WaveWear before sleeping. If you have a condition affecting blood circulation, consult a doctor before use.
AlignX™ silicone is tested for skin-contact safety and made with skin-safe, non-toxic materials.
Can I wear WaveWear with another sleeve, brace or supporter?
Yes. If you want more compression, you can layer another sleeve or supporter over your WaveWear.
Order matters. Wear WaveWear directly against the skin so the AlignX™ silicone stays in contact with your body, and put the other sleeve or brace on top. The taping only works where it touches skin.
Watch for chafing. Layering increases pressure and friction, so keep the first few sessions short and moisturise the skin under the silicone.
This is also the answer for anyone using a rigid or hinged medical brace: WaveWear is flexible sportswear and does not replace that brace, but it can be worn underneath it.
What are the features of WaveWear kinesiology compression wear?
WaveWear provides one-of-a-kind support due to its combination of kinesiology and compression — see the four measured results in the section above.
For what sports or activities can I use WaveWear?
WaveWear can be used for various sports and for cross training. Many users enjoy using WaveWear for running, hiking, cycling, soccer, weight training, badminton and more.
Size guide

If you are in between sizes: choose the smaller size for tighter compression, the larger size for a lighter feel.
