ElecSil™ is a next-generation conductive silicone material engineered for soft, flexible, and skin-safe electrode applications. Developed by Wave Company, ElecSil™ integrates biocompatibility, stretchability, and stable conductivity, making it ideal for wearable devices that move naturally with the body. From EMG garments to rehabilitation systems, ElecSil™ delivers consistent signal quality without sacrificing comfort.

3-Layer Smart Electrode Structure

All commercial products are provided as ElecSil™ A+B integrated textile electrodes
ElecSil™ uses a functional three-layer structure printed directly onto stretchable fabric:

Soft silicone infused with carbon black provides gentle adhesion without irritation.
● ElecSil™ A – Conductive Core (Beige)
Silver- and copper-infused Silicone Rubber (PDMS) delivers high conductivity and signal stability.

Adds stretch, structural support, and seamless integration into garments and wearable devices.

Performance Under Stretch

Even after more than 100 stretch cycles at 20% strain, ElecSil™ maintains stable electrical resistance. This durability makes it ideal for EMG wearables, rehabilitation suits, fitness garments, and other applications requiring reliable movement-responsive electrodes.

Biocompatibility & Safety

ElecSil™ is engineered with user safety in mind. It meets ISO 10993-5 and 10993-10 biocompatibility standards, ensuring it is non-irritating, non-sensitizing, and suitable for long-term skin contact.

Clean, Adhesive-Free Wearability

Unlike hydrogel electrodes, ElecSil™ contains no sticky adhesives. Users experience a clean, gentle grip on the skin without discomfort.

How Conductivity Works

When connected to an external stimulation device through snap ports, ElecSil™ delivers electrical signals to targeted muscle areas for activation, recovery, or measurement. It is designed to integrate seamlessly into wearable garments for EMS, EMG, and rehabilitation technologies.

Biocompatible Dual-Layer Design

Made from medical-grade PDMS infused with conductive fillers, ElecSil™ includes a silver-copper top layer for conductivity and a carbon-black skin-contact layer that meets ISO 10993-5 and -10 standards. It's safe for long-term skin contact and designed to be gentle yet effective.

Washable & Durable Construction

ElecSil™ is built to last through repeated use. It's been tested for machine wash durability (with both wool and alkaline detergents) and remains functional with or without Velcro skin attachment. This means lower replacement rates and easier maintenance in daily-use scenarios.

Advanced Materials Use Policy (ElecSil & Smart Textile Materials)

 

1. Scope of this policy

This Advanced Materials Use Policy applies to ElecSil and other smart textile materials (the “Products”) supplied by Wave Company through the WaveWear website (“WaveWear”, “we”, “our”). It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to all orders containing these Products.

 

2. Intended use

ElecSil and other smart textile materials sold by WaveWear are supplied strictly for legitimate research, prototyping, product development, and industrial or institutional use. They are not intended for human or animal ingestion, implantation, or any unapproved medical, diagnostic, or life‑support applications.

 

3. Eligible customers and verification

We primarily supply these Products to verified companies, research institutions, universities, laboratories, and professional creators. We may request additional information before fulfilling an order, including but not limited to: organisation name, organisation website, tax or business registration details, intended use, and a company email address for verification.

We may require the customer to reply from a verifiable company email address (e.g. name@company.com) or provide other reasonable documentation (such as a business card or institutional proof) to complete this verification process.

 

4. Right to refuse, hold, cancel and refund orders

Wave Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, hold, or cancel any order that appears inconsistent with safe and lawful use of our Products, including but not limited to:

Orders placed by unverified individuals or entities.

Orders for which the customer does not provide sufficient information for verification within the requested timeframe.

Orders where the intended use is unclear, unsafe, or appears to conflict with this Policy or applicable laws and regulations.

In such cases, we may cancel the order and issue a refund of any payments received for the affected Products.

 

5. Customer responsibilities

The buyer is responsible for ensuring that their use of smart textile materials complies with all applicable laws, regulations, safety standards, and certification requirements in their country or region.

The buyer must implement appropriate protective measures, insulation, testing, and risk assessments when integrating smart textile materials into electrical systems, wearables, or medical devices, and must not rely solely on WaveWear’s marketing materials as a substitute for professional engineering, medical, or safety advice.

 

6. Timeframe for providing verification

Where additional information is requested for verification, the customer must provide the requested information within 3 days from the date of our request (or any other deadline explicitly stated in our communication). If the customer fails to provide sufficient information within this timeframe, or if we are unable to satisfactorily verify the information provided, we may cancel and refund the order in accordance with this Policy.

 

7. Changes to this policy

Wave Company may update or modify this Advanced Materials Use Policy from time to time. The version published on the WaveWear website at the time of order placement will apply to that order.
